How Varesteam4K handles copyright infringement notices: what a notice must include, how we review it and how to contest a removal.
Our policy
Varesteam4K respects intellectual property. We follow a notice-and-takedown process based on the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and we review every complete notice we receive.
If you believe content available through Varesteam4K infringes your copyright, let us know so we can review it and take appropriate action.
What a notice must include
A valid notice includes the following information.
1. Your contact details
- your full name, or the name of the organization you represent;
- a way to contact you.
2. The copyrighted work
- the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- a description detailed enough for us to understand your notice.
3. Where the content is
- exactly where the content appears in the service;
- as much detail as possible: channel name, title, date and time of broadcast.
4. Your statements
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
How we handle a notice
- You send your notice with all the information above.
- We check that it is complete and valid.
- We act: valid notices are reviewed and may lead to the reported content being removed or access to it being blocked, in line with the applicable rules.
Inaccurate notices
Anyone who knowingly makes a false claim that content is infringing may be held liable. If you are unsure, consult a lawyer before sending a notice.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice the same way. It must include:
- your name and a way to contact you;
- the content that was removed or to which access was blocked;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the removal was the result of a mistake;
- your physical or electronic signature.
